HAT TIP: John Stossel
via The Rail Scam.
Any project that is not economically feesible on its own merits and cannot survive at some point without government subsidies and bailouts deserves to die. It’s as simple as that. Economics 101.
“The average subsidy per ride on all LA rails is $10.53, according to data from transportation consultant Tom Rubin. For someone who uses the rail to go back and forth to work every day, that adds up to a subsidy of $5,369 per year — enough to lease that person a Toyota Prius for the year.”
But that type of thought process requires common sense. Something we’re working here at Common Sense Underground to encourage and nuture. (Wish us luck…)

“The Obama Administration tried to bury some big news over Christmas weekend and most of the media missed it…”
With all due respect, John, saying they missed it implies it was unintentional.

John Stossel looking for input with his new Fox show. I tried to Tivo it but it did not appear in the listings so I haven’t seen it yet. I do have to admire that he is reaching out for help.
